The Woodlands’ 50th Anniversary

Community Giving:

Benefiting Interfaith of The Woodlands

As The Woodlands celebrates its 50th anniversary, join us in honoring the spirit that makes our community truly special. Through The Woodlands 50th Anniversary Community Giving Initiative, we are encouraging everyone to participate in a Community-Wide Food Drive and/or volunteer with Interfaith’s one of many programs during the month of October.

Our community is remarkable because we care for each other, and The Woodlands thrives because of people like you. Let’s continue the tradition of compassion that has defined our home for half a century. The Woodlands is great because of YOU!

MANY WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

ORGANIZE A FOOD DRIVE

Food drives are a key resource that Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry uses to provide food to those who need it most. Many families in our area do not have the financial resources to buy nutritious food to eat. As food prices consistently rise, the number of families that need assistance also rises. Year to date, there were 18,166 individuals who received food assistance from the Interfaith. A food drive is an easy way for you and your organization, business, or civic group to help ease the pain of hunger for our neighbors.

GATHER

Involve your neighbors, your local civic groups, your congregation, or your place of employment. Your food drive can be small and personal or as big as you would like.

COLLECT

Collect non-perishable food pantry items. Choose a drop off location (i.e. your home, office, school, or place of worship). Download our Food Pantry Needs list here.

Of course, financial contributions are also welcome to purchase food items.
